Indian Cricket Team: Shortly after Team India defeated England by an innings and 64 runs in the fifth Test match in Dharamsala, Jai Shah, Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, has taken a big decision. Jay Shah has told that BCCI has launched Test Cricket Incentive Scheme to promote Test cricket. Under this scheme, there has been a huge increase in the fees received by Indian players for playing Tests. Under this, a player who plays 75 percent of the matches in a season will be given Rs 45 lakh per match. Whereas the player who is not in the playing-11 will get Rs 22.5 lakh.

India has defeated England 4-1 in the five-match Test series. This victory came when India had lost in the first test match. Many of India's top players were also not there in the series. The decision taken by BCCI after this must have definitely made the players very happy.

This is the scheme

According to this scheme, players who will be included in the playing-11 in 75 percent of the team's total Test matches in a season will get a total fee of Rs 45 lakh per match. Whereas players who are only part of the team in 75 percent of the matches will get Rs 22.5 lakh for each match. Whereas the players who are part of the playing-11 in 50 percent of the matches will get a total of Rs 30 lakh per match, while the players who are part of the team in the same number of matches will get Rs 15 lakh per match. This scheme will not be applicable for less than this. He will get the current match fee. At present, the players who are part of the playing-11 get Rs 15 lakh per match. Explaining this in a more simple way, BCCI said that if Team India plays a total of 9 matches in a season, then 75 percent of these matches will be numbered 7 and the players included in the playing-11 in these matches will get Rs 45 lakh. . Whereas the players who will not be in the playing-11 will get Rs 22.5 lakh.

Whereas if a player is a part of Team India's playing-11 in 50 percent of the nine matches i.e. 5-6 matches, then he will get Rs 30 lakh per match and the player who is only in the team will get Rs 15 lakh per match. Those less than this will get the old fees only. Jai Shah gave this information by posting on social media site X. He wrote that this scheme has started from 2022-23.

This is the reason

Recently it was seen that some players completely ignored Test cricket and domestic cricket and started preparing for IPL because a lot of money is paid in IPL. BCCI has probably launched this scheme to counter this very thing. A few days ago, it was said in media reports that BCCI is insisting on increasing the match fees of domestic tournaments so that these tournaments cannot be ignored.
