World Cup 2023: In the ODI World Cup 2023, an important match of the tournament will be played between India and New Zealand on October 22 at Dharamshala ground. So far, both the teams have seen one-sided performance in this mega event. While Team India suffered a big blow just before the match with the injury of Hardik Pandya, now during the practice a day before the match, Suryakumar Yadav injured his right hand while batting in the nets. It is considered certain that Surya will be in the playing-11 against New Zealand.

Suryakumar Yadav got injured during throw-down

Before the important match against New Zealand, all the players of the Indian team had reached Dharamshala ground for practice. During this time, Suryakumar Yadav was practicing batting through throw-down in the nets, so that he could prepare himself against fast bowling. Meanwhile, a ball hit his right hand, after which Suryakumar Yadav was seen in a lot of pain and he immediately came out of the nets and went to the physio. Although Surya did not appear to be in much trouble after having his hand bandaged, everyone was hopeful that he could be seen playing in the match against New Zealand.

Rahul Dravid also hinted at including Surya

In the press conference held before the practice session of Team India, head coach Rahul Dravid, while answering the question regarding change in the playing-11 against New Zealand, has indicated the inclusion of Suryakumar Yadav. Regarding Pandya, he also said that Hardik is an important player for us, who creates a good balance in the playing-11. We have only 14 players for this match and we will have to select our playing-11 keeping them in mind.
