India's famous wrestler The Great Khali has started his political journey. Today (Thursday) Khali joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. He has joined the party at the BJP's central office in Delhi. Union Minister Jitendra Singh and BJP MP Sunita Duggal inducted him into the party.

Party can benefit in Punjab

Former WWE Champion Khali's real name is Dalip Singh Rana. Khali has been in the Punjab Police. After his joining BJP, it is believed that the party can benefit in Punjab. Although Khali is originally from Himachal Pradesh. But he runs the Continental Wrestling Academy (CWE) in Jalandhar. In this academy, Khali teaches the tricks of wrestling to the youth.

'Joined BJP after seeing PM's work'

Taking membership of the party, Khali said that he is feeling very good to join the BJP. He said that 'I was not short of name and wealth in WWE. But the love for the country pulled me back. Seeing the work done by PM Modi for the country, I have joined BJP. I thought why not join this journey of progress of the country as well. He said that 'BJP's policy is to take India forward. Impressed by this, I have joined BJP. Wherever the party imposes my duty, I will try my best to live up to it.

Earlier last year, photos of the meeting of Great Khali and Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal went viral on social media. After this the market of political speculation was heated. There was speculation that he may join the Aam Aadmi Party before the Punjab elections.
