Only 5 out of 30 stocks included in the Sensex gained momentum. At the same time, there was a decline in 25 stocks. Today, on the day of weekly expiry, selling was seen in FMSG counters including IT, Banking, Power, Auto. However, after the initial big fall, the market returned to recovery. Despite this, large cap, mid and small cap stocks declined by 2% to 4%. Investors had to bear a loss of Rs 2 lakh crore today due to the fall in the market.

Investors drowned more than 2 lakh crore today

Investors had to suffer heavy losses for the second consecutive day today as the market continued to fall. Investors sunk over 2 lakh crores today. In fact, when the market closed on December 21, the market cap of companies listed on BSE was Rs 2,82,95,398 crore, which has come down to Rs 2,80,50,573 crore today. In this way the investors lost more than 2 lakh crores. At the same time, in the last six days, investors have lost about Rs 12 lakh crore. This is because when the market closed on December 14, the capitalization of companies listed on BSE was Rs 2,91,25,007 crore, now it has come down to Rs 2.80 lakh.

The market had a strong start today

Sensex and Nifty made a strong start in early trade on Thursday due to a firm trend in global markets. The Sensex had gained 397.14 points to reach 61,464.38 points. The broader NSE Nifty was up 119.65 points at 18,318.75. Sun Pharma, HCL Technologies, Infosys, Bharti Airtel, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Wipro, Bajaj Finance, ITC and UltraTech Cement were among the major gainers on the Sensex. This boom in the Indian market came from the global market. US markets also closed with gains on Wednesday.
