Jharkhand Politics: Suspense remains on the formation of the new government in Jharkhand. The time for Champai's swearing-in has not been found yet. Just a short time ago, Champai Soren, proposed as the new Chief Minister, reached Raj Bhavan. After leaving here he made a big claim. He said that the Governor has assured to give time soon and currently he has the support of 43 MLAs, soon he will get the support of 47 MLAs.

Meanwhile, the MLAs supporting Champai Soren are being shifted from Circuit House to Hyderabad. A big AC bus had arrived outside the Circuit House in which the MLAs were taken. Earlier, a video of 43 MLAs was also released by the party. After meeting the Governor, Champai Soren said that about 22 hours have passed but the Governor has not said anything about the swearing-in of the new government.

Governor said that the process of government formation will start soon – Champai Soren

After meeting Jharkhand Governor CP Radhakrishnan, JMM legislature party leader Champai Soren said, 'We have demanded that the process of government formation should start. He (the Governor) said the process will start soon..."

Earlier, amid the ongoing political crisis in Jharkhand, Champai Soren had reached Raj Bhavan to meet Governor CP Radhakrishnan. Soren was also accompanied by Congress legislature party leader Alamgir Alam, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MLA Satyanand Bhokta, CPI(ML) MLA Vinod Singh and MLA Pradeep Yadav.

Before entering the Raj Bhavan, Singh said, "We will request the Governor to accept our claim to form the government as soon as possible." The Governor had given time to the JMM-led alliance in the state to meet at 5.30 pm. . Hemant Soren was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) here on Wednesday night after seven hours of questioning in a money laundering case. Earlier he had resigned from the post of Chief Minister. After this Champai Soren was elected leader of JMM Legislature Party.
