Share Market News: Last week, the Indian stock market was in a downtrend, which also affected the top companies of the Sensex. The 30-share BSE Sensex fell 294.64 points or 0.36%. During this period, the market capitalization of six of the top 10 most valuable companies of the Sensex collectively declined by Rs 2.22 lakh crore. Reliance Industries suffered the most in this decline, while companies like HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank performed better amid this slowdown.Huge losses to Reliance and other companiesAmong the top 10 companies of the Sensex, the market capitalization of Reliance Industries, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Infosys, Bajaj Finance, Hindustan Unilever and Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) declined by a total of Rs 2,22,193.17 crore.Reliance Industries: Was the biggest loser, its market valuation fell by Rs 1,14,687.7 crore to Rs 18,83,855.52 crore.Infosys: Its market cap fell by Rs 29,474.56 crore to Rs 6,29,621.56 crore.LIC: Its market capitalisation fell by Rs 23,086.24 crore to Rs 5,60,742.67 crore.TCS: Its valuation fell by Rs 20,080.39 crore to Rs 11,34,035.26 crore.Bajaj Finance: Its market cap fell by Rs 17,524.3 crore to Rs 5,67,768.53 crore.Hindustan Unilever: Its valuation fell to Rs 5,67,449.79 crore with a loss of Rs 17,339.98 crore.HDFC and ICICI shine in the recessionAmidst this decline in the market, some companies performed positively. HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Bharti Airtel and State Bank of India (SBI) registered an increase in market capitalization.HDFC Bank: Its market valuation increased by Rs 37,161.53 crore to Rs 15,38,078.95 crore.ICICI Bank: Its market cap increased by Rs 35,814.41 crore to Rs 10,53,823.14 crore.Bharti Airtel: Its valuation increased by Rs 20,841.2 crore to Rs 11,04,839.93 crore.State Bank of India: Its market capitalisation increased by Rs 9,685.34 crore to Rs 7,44,449.31 crore.Ranking of top 10 companiesDespite the decline, Reliance Industries remained at the top position.
