The country's health department said on Friday that more cases of infection are being reported among young people. The cases of infection are equal to the cases increased in September last year. The wave of infection was at its peak in January and had decreased by June. Currently, 22 per cent of the beds in the country's hospitals are full, compared to the majority of the country's hospitals during the last wave. Hugo López Gatel, Additional Secretary of the Department of Health, said that the increase in infection cases was not due to the delta nature but due to the increase in the activities of the people. Meanwhile, Pfizer has started preparations to seek approval from the US regulatory body for the third dose of its corona vaccine. The company said, 'Research suggests that the rate of formation of antibodies increases significantly after the third dose, but till now there is no strong evidence that when and how it should be given.
