IPL 2024 / This 8 crore strongman will not be seen in the auction, 1166 players wrote their names

IPL 2024: Many players of the Australian team, which became world champion by defeating the Indian team in the finals in India, have registered their names for the IPL auction to be held this month. More than a thousand players from all over the world have registered for the mini auction to be held on December 19 for the IPL 2024 season. BCCI had kept the deadline for registration for the auction till November 30. However, there are two big names who were released only last month but have not registered.

The IPL 2024 auction will be held in Dubai on the 19th of this month. This will be the last mini auction before the next mega auction. According to reports, till the deadline fixed for this auction, a total of 1166 players from different teams including India got themselves registered with BCCI. Of these, 830 are Indian players, while 336 are foreign players, out of which 45 are associated with associate teams. There are 212 capped players (International) and 909 uncapped players (Non-International/Domestic) from full member teams in this list.

World champion Australia's greats included

In this list, some players from Australia and other teams who have shown their talent in the World Cup 2023 have attracted the most attention. 7 players of the Australian team that won the World Cup for the sixth time will participate in this auction. Apart from Australian captain Pat Cummins and final hero Travis Head, Steve Smith, Josh Hazlewood, Shaun Abbott and Josh Inglis have also registered. After staying away from IPL for a long time, star pacer Mitchell Starc has also returned for the auction. The base price of all these players is Rs 2 crore.

Apart from these, New Zealand's young all-rounder Rachin Ravindra, who created a stir in his debut World Cup, and powerful batsman Daryl Mitchell are also part of the auction. Mitchell has played for Rajasthan Royals before but Rachin is entering the auction for the first time and his selection is certain. The interesting thing is that despite the huge demand, Ravindra has kept his base price at only Rs 50 lakh.

These giants are out

England's Harry Brook, who was sold at a high price of Rs 13 crore in the last auction, has registered with a base price of Rs 2 crore. Apart from them, there are many other players from England including David Malan, Adil Rashid, Sam Curran, Ben Duckett. England's legendary fast bowler Joffra Archer will not be seen in this list. Mumbai Indians had recently released Joffra Archer (8 crores). This star bowler of England is struggling with fitness problem.

Keep an eye on these Indian players

South Africa's young pacer Gerald Kotjia, who left his mark in the World Cup, will also be a part of the auction this time. As far as Indian players are concerned, out of total 830 names, 18 are capped players. In this, Harshal Patel, Umesh Yadav, Kedar Jadhav and Shardul Thakur have registered themselves at the highest base price, Rs 2 crore. Apart from these, players like Hunma Vihari, Jaydev Unadkat, Shivam Mavi, KS Bharat, Siddharth Kaul, Chetan Sakariya are also part of this list.
