Bihar Train Accident: Initial investigation into the derailment of Delhi-Kamakhya North East Express in Bihar has revealed a shocking thing. Citing preliminary investigation report, sources on Thursday said that the probable cause of the North East Express accident was a track fault. Let us tell you that in this horrific train accident that happened on Wednesday night, 4 people died and many were injured. The report, signed by six railway officials, including the driver of the accident train, said, 'It appears that the accident occurred due to a defect in the track.'

‘The train passed at a speed of 128 km/hour’

According to the preliminary investigation report, the loss due to the accident is estimated to be more than Rs 52 crore. According to the report, 'breath analyzer' test of the loco pilot and his assistant was also conducted. The loco pilot (driver) was partially injured and his assistant suffered serious injuries in the accident that took place on Wednesday night. The report also includes a statement from the loco pilot, which states that the train passed through Raghunathpur station at a speed of 128 kmph, but immediately after crossing the station, it received a sharp jerk from behind.

‘The train derailed at 9:52 pm’

The report quoted the loco pilot as saying that due to excessive vibration and severe shock, the pressure in the brake pipe suddenly dropped and the train derailed at 9:52 pm. In this, a gateman and a pointman of Raghunathpur station have been quoted as saying that they saw sparks coming from near the wheels of the train. In the report, the breath analyzer test of the loco pilot and his helper has been declared negative. At least four people were killed and several injured when 12506 North East Express derailed near Raghunathpur in Bihar's Buxar district on Wednesday night.
