In West Bengal, a serious case of TMC leader's humiliation has come to the fore. According to the information, Sukanya, daughter of Anubrata Mandal, is accused of becoming a teacher without examination. Sukanya never even went to school after being admitted. She used to send her attendance daily at home. The Calcutta High Court took cognizance in the matter and issued an order to appear in the court on Thursday.

In fact, the petitioner alleged before a single bench of Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay that Sukanya Mandal never went to school to teach after being admitted. Instead, the attendance register of the teachers was sent to his house every day so that he could record his attendance. The school is located in Birbhum, a short distance from Mandal's house.

Trinamool Congress stalwart and party's Birbhum district president Anubrata Mandal has already been arrested by the CBI in connection with the multi-crore cattle recruitment scam and is now in the agency's custody for questioning.

Advocate Firdous Shamim in the High Court on Wednesday said, “Sukanya Mandal never cleared the TET exam. She never reached school even after being admitted as an assistant teacher. We have named five more persons, mostly relatives and family members of Anubrata Mandal, who got the job of teachers without clearing TET.”

Shamim said, “The High Court bench has directed all the six persons, including Sukanya Mandal, to appear in the court with their TET certificates on Thursday at 3 pm. The court has directed that the order be communicated to the Birbhum district superintendent of police."

It is worth noting that in May this year, the same bench of the High Court had removed Ankita Adhikari, daughter of West Bengal Junior Education Minister Paresh Adhikari, from her job as a school teacher. She was reportedly recruited as an assistant teacher even though her name was not on the merit list and she never even appeared in the interview.

Education Minister denied the comment

State Education Minister Bratya Basu refused to comment on the serious matter saying he was not aware of the issue. BJP spokesperson Samik Bhattacharya said, "It is not unusual. It would have been unusual if she had been recruited after passing an examination and she would have been working every day to get her salary."

Let us tell you that the Enforcement Directorate has already arrested former Education Minister Partha Chatterjee in a teacher recruitment school worth crores of rupees in government schools. The CBI is investigating the scam on the orders of the Calcutta High Court. The High Court has directed at least 10 close aides of Partha Chatterjee's security guard Biswamber Monol to appear before the CBI on September 1. All ten persons were recruited as primary school teachers during Chatterjee's tenure as state education minister between 2014 and 2021.
