Ashok Chavan resigned from Congress on Monday. After which there is speculation about his joining BJP. Regarding this matter, Uddhav Thackeray fiercely targeted BJP including Ashok Chavan.

While addressing a rally in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Uddhav Thackeray raised the issue of Adarsh Housing scam. He said that earlier when Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had gone to Nanded which is the home district of Ashok Chavan. There both the leaders talked about the corruption done by Ashok Chavan and said that Chavan had insulted the families of martyred soldiers.

‘BJP had called Chavan a dealer and not a leader’

Uddhav Thackeray claimed that the Prime Minister and Fadnavis had called Ashok Chavan a dealer and not a leader. His corruption was called an insult to the martyrs. Shiv Sena leader Thackeray asked PM Modi whether BJP would send a leader who insulted the martyrs to Rajya Sabha.

Adarsh lost CM's chair after getting trapped in scam

In fact, in 2010, when Ashok Chavan was the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, he was accused of scam in Adarsh Housing Society. Adarsh Housing Society was formed for the families of those martyred in the 1999 Kargil war. Regarding which it was revealed that some influential people including politicians, military officers had violated the rules to get flats allotted to themselves and their relatives in the 31-storey apartment. Ashok Chavan was badly trapped in this scam. There was a lot of politics in Maharashtra and there were all-round attacks on Ashok Chavan. After which he had to resign from the post of Chief Minister.

Speculation of Ashok Chavan joining BJP

Let us tell you that on Monday 12th February, Ashok Chavan has resigned from the primary membership of Congress. Due to which Congress has suffered the third major blow in Maharashtra. Recently Milind Deora and Baba Siddiqui have distanced themselves from Congress. After that, Ashok Chavan also resigned from the party. Ashok Chavan says that he has served Congress for years and now he is looking for a new option for himself. After the resignation of Ashok Chavan, there are speculations that like Milind Deora, Ashok Chavan may also join BJP.
