Russia-Ukraine News: The continuous war between Russia and Ukraine is getting fierce. Russia has alleged that Ukraine has carried out the biggest ever drone attack on it. However, no information about those who died in this attack has been given by Moscow. At the same time, Russia has also retaliated fiercely. Ukrainian officials said that two people were killed in the Russian attack on Kiev early Wednesday. An airport in the western Russian region of Pskov, bordering Estonia and Latvia, caught fire after a drone attack, according to the governor and local media reports. The Defense Ministry said several more drones were shot down in Oryol, Bryansk, Ryazan, Kaluga and the region around the capital Moscow.

Pskov's regional governor, Mikhail Vedernikov, ordered the cancellation of all flights from the airport in the provincial capital on Wednesday while damage could be assessed during the day. Quoting emergency service officials, Russia's official news agency 'Tass' wrote, information about the attack on the airport was first received a few minutes before midnight. Four IL-76 transport aircraft were damaged in the attack. Some video footage and photos posted on social media showed smoke billowing over the city of Pskov and raging flames. Vedernikov said there were no casualties and the fire was brought under control. According to unconfirmed media reports, the airport was probably attacked by 10 to 20 drones.

Russia wreaks havoc on Kiev with drone and missile attacks

Russia also responded to Ukraine's drone attack in a deadly manner. Sergei Popko, head of the military administration, wrote in a telegram: "Major attack by Russia using drones and missiles on Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, killing two people." While another was injured. Popko said it was the biggest attack since the spring. He said that Russia launched martyr drones at Kiev from different directions and then targeted the city with missiles through Tu-95 MS strategic aircraft. He said that more than 20 targets (drones/missiles) were shot down by Ukraine's air defense system. However, it is not clear how many drones/missiles were launched. Popko said the casualties were caused by debris falling on a commercial building in the Shevchenkivsky district.
