Ukraine's intelligence security service SBU has killed its officer Denis Kireev on suspicion of spying for Russia. However, this news has not been officially confirmed. However, this claim has been made in Ukrainian, Russian and Western media, including the Telegram channel of Ukraine's State News Service Union.

According to reports, Denis Kireev, a member of the delegation that negotiated with Russia, was suspected by the SBU, on the basis of which his activities were monitored. When the SBU wanted to arrest them on Saturday evening after the activities were found suspicious, they started running. During this, he died due to the bullet fired from the SBU side. Kireev was considered close to Andrei Clive, a wealthy friend of former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich, who is pro-Russian.

Contrary to the Ukrainian government's news agency, independent political analyst Mario Dubovikova claimed that Kiriev was shot in the head at the entrance to the Pechersk Court in the heart of Kyiv. Kiriev was deputy director general of SCM Finance Company from 2006 to 2008, then joined Austrian conglomerate Slava AG Kluyev from 2010 to 2014, later joining the board of Ukrexim Bank.
