UP Panchayat elections / voting in 4 phases, results on May 2, know when to vote in which district

A notification regarding the panchayat elections in Uttar Pradesh was issued on Friday. According to the notification, there will be a total of 4 phases of voting in UP. According to the notification, voting will be held on April 15, April 19, April 26 and April 29. On May 2, the votes will be counted. According to the information, the nomination process of the first phase will start from April 3. In the second phase, nominations can be made from April 7 to April 8. Along with this, nominations will be made in the third phase from April 13 to April 15. On the other hand, nominations will be held from April 17 to April 18 in the fourth phase. When to vote in which district

First stage-

In the first phase on April 15, voting will be held in 18 districts - Saharanpur, Ghaziabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Hathras, Agra, Kanpur Nagar, Jhansi, Mahoba, Prayagraj, Bareilly, Rae Bareli, Hardoi, Ayodhya Basti Santkabiranagar Gorakhpur, Jaunpur and Bhadohi.

Second stage-

On April 19, in the second phase, 20 districts - Muzaffarnagar, Baghpat, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bijnor, Amroha, Badaun, Etah, Mainpuri, Kannauj, Etawah, Lalitpur, Chitrakoot, Pratapgarh, Lucknow, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sultanpur, Gonda, Maharajganj, Varanasi, Voting will take place in Azamgarh.

third step-

On April 26, in the second phase in 20 districts - Shamli, Meerut, Moradabad, Pilibhit, Kasganj, Firozabad, Auraiya, Kanpur Dehat, Jalaun, Hamirpur, Fatehpur, Unnao, Amethi, Barabanki, Balrampur, Siddharthnagar, Deoria, Chandauli, Mirzapur, Ballia. Voting will take place.

Fourth Step-

On April 29, the fourth phase will go to polls in 17 districts - Bulandshahr, Hapur, Sambhal, Shahjahanpur, Aligarh, Mathura, Farrukhabad, Banda, Kaushambi, Sitapur, Ambedkar Nagar, Bahraich, Basti, Kushinagar, Ghazipur, Sonbhadra, Mau.

Significantly, the Supreme Court will hear the petition filed for the panchayat elections on March 26, that is, today. A bench headed by Chief Justice Justices SA Bobde will hear the case. In such a situation, all eyes are on the Supreme Court on the disposal of petitions related to the panchayat elections.

Apart from this, on Tuesday, the Uttar Pradesh government has also filed a cavity petition in the Supreme Court. It has been said in this application that before the court takes any decision on this petition, one must also hear their side. In the Caveat petition, it has been said on behalf of the state government that when the panchayat will hear the petitions filed for the election, then the government's side should be heard in the court.
