Sidhu Musewala murder case: Wanted Santosh Jadhav in the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Musewala has been arrested by the police. However, the accused has been arrested in the second murder case registered in Maharashtra. Jadhav is also a wanted accused in the Singer murder case. Action has been taken against the accused under the Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA).
According to news agency ANI, Jadhav has been arrested by Pune Rural Police in a murder case in the year 2021. Apart from this, an accused named Navnath Suryavanshi has also been arrested. Earlier this week, Pune Police arrested Siddhesh Kamble, an alleged member of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi gang.Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Kulwant Kumar Sarangal can hold a press briefing in this matter on Monday morning. Police officials have said that Jadhav was absconding for the past one year.Mahakal alias Siddesh Kamble knew that Punjabi singer Sidhu Musewala would be killed and he (Kamble) was in touch with gangster Vikram Brar for more than a week before the murder. An official of Maharashtra Police has given this information. Mumbai's crime branch has questioned Mahakal in connection with the threatening letter received by Bollywood actor Salman Khan. He has been questioned by the Special Cell of Delhi Police and Punjab Police in connection with the Moosewala murder case.
A senior Maharashtra Police official privy to the investigation of the case said, “Mahakal was not directly involved in the attack on Musewala, but according to the information we have received, he knew that Musewala would be killed as Vikram Brar had killed him. Had a discussion about Musewala with me.” He said that Mahakal was in touch with Brar for a week before he was killed on May 29. Brar is a close associate of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Bishnoi is currently in the custody of Delhi Police.
