"In this holy month of Sawan, we bow at the feet of Baba Someshwar Nath. We seek his blessings that there should be happiness and auspiciousness in the lives of all the people of Bihar."

Referring to the historical land of Champaran, he said, "The land of Champaran has made history. In the freedom struggle, this land showed a new direction to Gandhiji, now the inspiration of this land will create a new future for Bihar."

The RJD-Congress government was taking revenge from Bihar

Targeting the opposition, PM Modi said that when the Congress and RJD government was at the Center, Bihar got only around Rs 2 lakh crore for development. He said,

"In the ten years of UPA, Bihar got only around Rs 2 lakh crore, that is, these people were taking revenge from Nitish ji's government. They were taking revenge from Bihar. In 2014, you gave me the opportunity to serve at the Center, after which I ended that old politics of taking revenge from Bihar."

He told that in the last 10 years, many times more money has been allocated to Bihar, which is being used in public welfare works. The PM said,

"The countries of the east are catching a new pace of development. Just like Mumbai is in the west, Motihari will be named in the east, like Gurugram is in the west, there should be such an opportunity in Gayaji, there should be development in Patna like Pune."

The opposition government was going to put a brake on development

Recalling the rule of RJD and Congress, Modi said that at that time Bihar was immersed in despair.

"There was a break on development during the rule of RJD and Congress. It was impossible for the money of the poor to reach the poor. The only thought of the people sitting in power was how to loot the money of the poor."

Referring to the power of the people of Bihar, he said that Bihar made the impossible possible and got freedom from the shackles of the opposition. Under the PM Awas Yojana, 60 lakh poor people in Bihar have been given concrete houses, which includes 3 lakh families in Motihari district alone.

"Today more than 12000 families have got the privilege of moving to a concrete house and 40000 families have been sent money directly to their accounts to build concrete houses."

Women of Bihar: The biggest power of development

Emphasizing on women empowerment, the PM said that the mothers and sisters of Bihar are the biggest power of development.

"Lakhs of sisters are blessing us. The mothers and sisters here understand very well the importance of each step taken by the NDA."

Referring to Jan Dhan Yojana, Lakhpati Didi Yojana and Jeevika Didi Yojana, he said that more than 20 lakh women have become Lakhpati Didi in Bihar. Along with this, a community investment fund of Rs 400 crore has also been released, which will further empower women power.

Efforts for employment and self-employment

Loans have been given to lakhs of people under the Mudra Yojana, which has promoted self-employment. Taking a jibe at the opposition, he said,

"Those people of RJD can never give you employment, who get your lands registered in their name in the name of giving employment."

A strong attack on Naxalism

On the issue of Naxalism, the PM said that Maoism is now breathing its last in Bihar.

"Maoism, which kept districts like Champaran, Gayaji, Jamui backward for years, has weakened today. Today, the youth of these areas are dreaming big."

Referring to the success of Operation Sindoor, he said that a resolution has been taken to completely free India from Naxalism.

Work in the interest of farmers

Priority to backward classes

Underlining the government's commitment to the backward classes, the PM said,

"Those who are backward are our priority. We developed backward districts by making them aspirational districts. Gave constitutional status to the OBC Commission."

Referring to the recently approved Pradhan Mantri Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana, he said that under this scheme, about 1.75 crore farmers of 100 backward districts will be benefited, which will include a large number of farmers from Bihar.
