West Bengal News: Using the popular slogan 'Khela Hobe' of West Bengal's ruling party Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee, the BJP said that assembly elections may be held in the state before the scheduled time. The party's West Bengal president Sukanta Majumdar said that the BJP believes in non-violence but that does not mean that it will not react if push comes to shove.

The BJP leader said at a public meeting in Barrackpore in North 24 Parganas district on Friday, "Khel Khela will be played by both parties - 'Khela Hobe' - and it will be dangerous."

Let us tell you that Trinamool had coined the slogan 'Khela Hobe' before the 2021 assembly elections and it became very popular. The Trinamool Congress government led by Mamta Banerjee came to power in the state for the third consecutive time in 2021. Many other parties outside West Bengal also used it later.

'Elections may be held in Bengal in 2024'

Hinting at early elections in the state, the BJP leader claimed, "He will not be surprised if the assembly elections in West Bengal are held along with the 2024 Lok Sabha elections."

'More people likely to be booked'

Majumdar claimed, “Around 300 TMC workers are behind bars in cases related to post-poll violence in 2021, which are being probed by the CBI.” He insisted that more people were to be booked. Chances are.

Mazumdar said that no person, irrespective of the position he holds, will be spared as long as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is there. He claimed that a bill would be brought in the Lok Sabha to ensure the impartiality of the police force.
