Mumbai: Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan's son Aryan Khan was arrested by Narcotics Bureau Control (NCB) on Sunday in a Mumbai cruise drug bust case. The arrest came after the department conducted a raid following a tip-off about drug use in a Goa-bound Cordelia cruise ship off the Mumbai coast. On Thursday, Aryan, along with seven others, was sent to 14-day judicial custody.

Many people have come out in support of him. Suniel Shetty requested everyone to let the star kid breathe, Hrithik Roshan penned a letter and others have posted on social media. On Thursday, Senior Advocate of Supreme Court, Vikas Singh, who is representing late Sushant Singh Rajput's family in his death case, also came out in support of Aryan Khan.

Speaking to ETimes, he said, "The entire law (NDPS - Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act) is possession based and quantity of possession becomes the sentence. If there is no possession, the question of a case does not arise unless you are a peddler or a supplier, which is the fourth category."

He added, "Aryan was neither found with possession nor was he a supplier. He is at best a consumer. And calling him consumer is also debatable, because till now there is nothing found in his hair follicle. I don't think they have even tested that. What is happening to him is unfair."

Lawyer Satish Maneshinde is representing Aryan Khan in the drug bust case. A decision on Aryan's bail will be taken today. His bail plea hearing coincidentally comes on the birthday of his mother, SRK's wife Gauri Khan.
