Operation Sindoor / When the Army, Air Force and Navy meet... General Anil Chauhan spoke on Operation Sindoor

CDS General Anil Chauhan at the College of Defense Management, Hyderabad said that the success of Operation Sindoor is a testimony to the united efforts of the three armies. Technological innovation, self-reliance and joint defense capability are important in modern warfare. He also emphasized on theater command and national security structure.

Operation Sindoor: Addressing the officers during the 21st Higher Defense Management Course (HDMC) at the College of Defense Management (CDM) in Hyderabad, Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan said that the success of Operation Sindoor is a living proof that when the Army, Navy and Air Force work together, any challenge becomes small in front of them. He emphasized that joint work of the three forces, proper use of technology and self-reliance are the biggest needs of today to face the challenges of modern warfare.

Lecture on National Security and Higher Defense Management

The CDS gave a detailed lecture on national security structure and higher defense management. During this, he highlighted the development of India's defense organization and its current structure. He discussed in detail the achievements of the Department of Military Affairs, the work of important committees related to national security and the progress of organizational reforms. Apart from this, he also emphasized the concept of theater command to enhance joint defense capability. The main focus of his lecture was on the need for reforms, unity and strategic approach to deal with new national security challenges.

Release of 'Joint Primer for Integrated Logistics' Guide

General Chauhan also released a guide titled 'Joint Primer for Integrated Logistics' on the occasion. This guide mentions measures to modernize and jointly strengthen the army's supply chain and logistics system. Its aim is to keep the three armies ready for war at all times, so that they can take immediate action in any situation.

Inauguration of Smart Bike Public Cycle Sharing Service

The CDS also inaugurated the Smart Bike Public Cycle Sharing Service at the CDM campus. This service provides employees with the option of convenient and healthy travel through eco-friendly e-cycles. Its main goal is to reduce carbon emissions and promote environmental protection. This initiative has been launched in collaboration with CDM and Smart Bike Mobility Private Limited, which reflects CDM's commitment towards smart technology, environmental protection and healthy lifestyle.

Role of CDM and HDMC Programme

Commandant, CDM Major General Harsh Chhibber spoke about his initiatives towards promoting professional military education. He said that CDM is an important tri-service institution which is playing a vital role in providing modern management skills to senior officers for higher leadership roles. The 44-week long HDMC programme has 167 participants including officers from 12 friendly foreign countries. It further strengthens India's commitment to regional cooperation and military diplomacy.
