It was told in the RTI that between April 2015 and March 2016, 210 million notes of Rs 500 were printed. Which were sent to RBI.

Note press sent notes to central bank

However, there is no mention of this in the annual report of RBI available in the public domain. RBI did not even tell that it has sent these new Rs 500 notes. According to the activist, it is clear from this that RBI has not received 210 million 500 rupee notes.
