When Cook came to India in 2016, he saw an IPL match in Kanpur. Then he had said that he was filled with enthusiasm after watching the match. Recently, he cut the ribbon of the first Apple Store in India. First store opened in Mumbai. On the last day, Cook launched India's second Apple Beete in Delhi. Taking time out of his busy schedule, reached the stadium to watch the match between Delhi and Kolkata.

Delhi Capitals owner Parth Jindal, Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor and her husband Anand Ahuja were also seen in the stadium along with Cook. After the match, Parth Jindal gifted him a special bat and jersey.
