Maharashtra Politics:  A rebel Shiv Sena MLA from Maharashtra's Aurangabad district has alleged that the revolt was caused by a "troupe" of four people who surrounded party chief Uddhav Thackeray. Speaking to reporters a day after the Chief Minister Eknath Shinde government easily won the trust vote in the Assembly, Vaijapur MLA Ramesh Bornare said, "Shiv Sainiks are happy with Shinde becoming the Chief Minister."

'Can't forget the Thackeray family'

However, he did not answer the question whether the development work of Thackeray's constituency was disrupted when Thackeray was the chief minister for the last two-and-a-half years. Without naming names, he said, "Remarkably 50 MLAs left and came in favor of Shinde, but I do not hold Uddhav Thackeray responsible for this situation. For this the circle of four people present around him is responsible.

Bornare said that Shiv Sena founder Bal Thackeray is our idol and we cannot forget the Thackeray family. He said that he joined the Shinde faction so that five important issues of Vaijapur could be resolved. "If these issues are not resolved, voters will not forgive me in the year 2024 (in the election)," Bornare said.

Referring to the protest against the rebel MLAs led by Shinde in Aurangabad while camping in Guwahati, Bornare said the protesting Shiv Sainiks were misled.

Let us inform that Shiv Sena's rebel MLA Eknath Shinde has become the new Chief Minister of Maharashtra. He also passed the floor test in the assembly. Senior BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis is the Deputy Chief Minister of the state.

Uddhav Thackeray's government was in trouble after Eknath Shinde rebelled, which later fell. Shiv Sena is now left with 15 MLAs. It has now become one of the smallest parties in the assembly. The Shiv Sena had 55 MLAs before Shinde adopted a rebellious stand.
