PM Modi in Adilabad: PM Modi will stay in Telangana for two days. On Monday, he flagged off projects worth Rs 56 thousand crore in Adilabad. These projects are related to rail, road and electricity. In view of the security arrangements, 1600 police officers were deployed in the district. Adilabad is called the gateway to South and Central India. Adilabad was named after the ruler of Bijapur, Ali Adil Shah.

Adilabad with a population of 7 lakh is also known as White Gold City. There is a reason for this also. Actually, this district is famous in the entire state for cotton cultivation. It is among the highest cotton producing districts in entire Telangana. Due to this production of cotton it is called White Gold City. Even though Adilabad is called White Gold City because of its cotton production, it is known for its National Park, Wildlife Sanctuary and waterfalls. There are many areas here including Pranita Wildlife Sanctuary, Sivaram Wildlife Sanctuary, Kewal Wildlife Sanctuary where the diversity of animals fascinates the tourists. Pochera, Kuntala Waterfall and Satnala Dam attract the attention of tourists with their beauty.

City of temples

Adilabad, 150 kilometers away from Hyderabad, is also known for its temples. Basar Saraswati Temple and Jai Mandir, famous for its special beauty, have been a center of attraction for tourists. Apart from this, Kalva Narasimha Swamy Temple, Papareshwar Temple, Satyanarayana Swamy Temple are the special identity of this place.

Even if seen from the perspective of regional economy, Adilabad holds a special place. This district contributes to the economy through agriculture and mining. Adilabad is known for crops of rice, cotton, jowar and wheat. Apart from this, it is also famous for mining of coal, mica and limestone.

Now once again Adilabad is in the news. While dedicating the project worth Rs 56 thousand crore to Adilabad, PM Modi said, 10 years of formation of Telangana are going to be completed. The Central Government is trying to fulfill the dreams of the people of the state. PM Modi inaugurated NTPC's 800 MW capacity unit. Due to which energy production will increase in Telangana. To increase connectivity in the state, projects related to railways and national highways were started. This will give momentum to Telangana.
