New Delhi: The resignation of Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa took a sudden turn in the politics of the state on Monday. Yediyurappa has submitted his resignation to Governor Thaawar Chand Gehlot. Now the discussion has intensified as to who will be the new CM of Karnataka and whether the state will get a Brahmin CM once again.

By the way, many names are being discussed as the new Chief Minister. But two names are coming to the fore in which the first name is of Union Coal Mining Minister and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi while the second name is of BJP National General Secretary CT Ravi. If BJP high command makes Prahlad Joshi the new CM, then for the first time after 1988, he will be promoted and the state will get CM of Brahmin community. If the party chooses the name of CT Ravi, it will be of great help to the party in its expansion in South Karnataka.

There are also reports in the political circles that after the departure of BS Yeddyurappa, a face from the Lingayat community will become the CM because BJP has played a big gamble by taking Yeddyurappa's resignation. However, after the resignation of the CM, it is completely clear that whoever becomes the CM, he will always support the party and will now act as a guide to take the party forward.

When Union Minister Prahlad Joshi was asked about the change of leadership in Karnataka, he said that he had no information in this regard nor did he know anything about Yeddyurappa's resignation from the party high command. Was asked to give or not.

He said that there is no high command of any kind in the BJP, the party has a national level leadership. We got different leadership from time to time. First there was Rajnath Singh ji, then Nitin Gadkari came, after that Amit Shah became the national president and now JP Nadda is handling it. He said that at present we have supreme leaders like Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah and they will decide who will be the next CM in Karnataka now.

Let us tell you that Union Minister Joshi has been an MP from Dharwad, a city in North Western Karnataka since 2004 and has a lot of hold in this area. He has also served as the state unit president of the BJP from 2012 to 2016. If Joshi gets promoted, he will be the third politician from Hubballi to play the role after SR Bommai and Jagadish Shettar. At present, there is no disclosure about whether Joshi will be the CM or not.
