Delhi Liquor Scam: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's petition is to be heard in Rouse Avenue Court. Kejriwal has filed a petition seeking permission to get his sugar level checked daily and consult a personal doctor. Kejriwal had said that during ED custody his sugar level had fallen to 46. In such a situation, it is important to check their sugar level daily. ED's lawyer had sought time to file a reply on this matter. After the hearing on April 16, the court had fixed the hearing on April 18 at 2 pm.Arvind Kejriwal, who is in jail due to Delhi's controversial liquor policy, has sought permission to get his sugar tested daily citing his health. Along with this, he demands that he should be allowed to take consultation from the same doctor from whom he was taking consultation earlier. However, Kejriwal has asked for three consultations a week with the doctor and this consultation will be virtual.ED lawyer had asked for timeED's lawyer had sought time from the court to reply to Kejriwal's petition and the court gave him two days. ED's lawyer says that the doctor is also in Tihar jail. Kejriwal can get his sugar level checked from the same doctors. On the demand of ED, Arvind Kejriwal's judicial custody was extended till April 23. ED had arrested Kejriwal on March 21.Why was Kejriwal arrested?Arvind Kejriwal's government had made a new liquor policy for Delhi. There is an allegation of scam in this. Many leaders including Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh and K Kavita have gone to jail in this case. ED had sent 9 summons to Arvind Kejriwal for questioning. However, Kejriwal did not appear on any of these summons. After this he was arrested on 21 March.
