After the video went viral, the priest of the temple consumed poison after coming in shock.

In connection with this incident Yogash, son of the victim priest Pandit Prakash, has lodged a report at Sadar police station. He told the police in the report that some people including a woman along with Prem Prakash Dixit wanted to usurp the temple. So he made the video viral by beating his father with his slippers.

On Thursday, a woman along with three-four people reached the Kati Ghati temple and thrashed the priest Pandit Prakash with slippers, accusing him of indecency by drinking alcohol. During this, a large number of people were present there. Some of them made a video of the priest's woman beating him with slippers, which later went viral on social media. During this, the person accompanying the woman threatened the priest that if he did not give the money, I would get the skin removed. There was a ruckus in the temple premises for a long time.

When the video went viral, I ate poison

The video of the priest being beaten up with slippers went viral on social media the day after the incident. When priest Prakash came to know about the video going viral, he tried to commit suicide by consuming poison. When the priest's health deteriorated after consuming poison, his family members took him to the hospital where he is undergoing treatment.
