Lucknow: Black Fungus has become an attacker with Corona. A large number of people who have defeated Corona have been hit by black fungus. A woman patient, who was hit by fungus, has died. The woman was being treated at the Lohia Institute. Black fungus infected is the first patient death in UP.

On Monday, the woman was admitted to Lohia Institute after swelling near her eyes and nose. A team of doctors saw the woman in the emergency. Doctors expressed the possibility of black fungus on the basis of symptoms. Decided to have a CT scan check. Investigation report of CT scan came. In which fungus was seen. The doctors started treatment. The woman's condition did not improve despite treatment. After this, preparations were made to conduct a fungal examination of the fungus. The female patient died on Wednesday even before the investigation. Family members told doctors that the patient was corona positive. Corona became negative after treatment. According to the hospital's medical superintendent Dr. Vikram Singh, the woman was admitted in critical condition. The doctors had tried to save.

Horror from death

In the first year suffering from black fungus, one or two patients used to appear. This disease was found in people suffering from diabetes and other serious diseases. This fungus is quite visible in Covid. Doctors say that this problem is being seen more in patients with oxygen for a long time. Fungus is also easily developing in those who take more dose of steroid. This problem appears 14 to 15 days after the corona is cured.

Black fungus patients will be admitted separately

Director General of Health Department, Dr. DS Negi has alerted all the hospitals in the state. Dr. DS Negi said that black fungus patients should be identified on time. If symptoms are seen, refer them to Medical College or Level 3 Hospitals. Arrangements should be made to make separate wards in medical colleges. He said that the medical college has specialists from other departments including ENT, surgery. Therefore patients can get better treatment there. He has advised diabetes patients to be serious. Said diabetes patients pay attention to the management of sugar. Check back periodically. If you are in the grip of corona, take the steroid only on the advice of a doctor. When applying oxygen, the water in it should be clear.

As the outbreak of black fungus has increased, hospitals have stepped up preparations. Fungus-prone patients will be kept in separate wards. However it does not spread from one to the other. According to Dr. Shrikesh Singh, spokesperson of Lohia Institute, a separate ward of eight beds has been made. According to KGMU spokesperson Dr. Sudhir Singh, arrangements have been made to recruit black fungus victims in Gandhi Ward.
