The political climate in Rajasthan has reached a boiling point as the Civil Justice Party (CJP) has officially declared a movement against the state government. The conflict originated in the Bagru assembly constituency, where a violent confrontation took place between CJP workers and local villagers. This incident has now transformed into a major political standoff, with CJP co-convener Ashutosh Ranka leading the charge. Ranka has stated that the focus of their protest has shifted from merely highlighting the poor condition of schools to demanding the immediate resignation of the state's Education Minister, Madan Dilawar. The CJP has issued a strict 48-hour ultimatum to the government, warning of a massive state-wide agitation if their demands aren't met within this timeframe.

The Shivdaspura Incident and Police Investigation

The clash occurred within the limits of the Shivdaspura police station, resulting in both parties filing formal complaints against each other, alleging violence and physical assault. The Rajasthan Police has assigned the investigation of these cross-complaints to Shivdaspura Station House Officer (SHO) Rajesh Gautam. Ashutosh Ranka has publicly alleged that the attack on his team on Friday was a well-coordinated and planned conspiracy. He claimed that the attackers weren't just local villagers but included outsiders who were specifically brought in to disrupt the CJP's activities. To support these claims, Ranka has shared photographs on social media, alleging that some of the individuals involved in the attack were seen sitting with local MLA Kailash Verma later that night.

Allegations of Negligence and Evidence

Ranka further criticized the local law enforcement, stating that there was a complete absence of police presence at the scene when the violence broke out. He claimed that despite multiple attempts to contact the authorities for immediate assistance, no help arrived in time. In a move to prove their side of the story, the CJP has released video footage of the incident to the public and has challenged the opposing side to do the same. Ranka expressed his expectation for a fair and impartial investigation from the Rajasthan Police, while emphasizing that CJP workers will continue their fight for better school infrastructure and quality education for children.

Sharp Criticism of Education Minister Madan Dilawar

" Ranka predicted that the entire country would soon witness the deplorable state of schools in Rajasthan, leading to national embarrassment for the state government. He labeled Dilawar as the most incompetent, failed, and corrupt education minister in the history of Rajasthan, asserting that the minister has no achievements to his name. Ranka highlighted several systemic failures, including the fact that the roofs of 7 schools, including those in Jhalawar, have already collapsed. He further pointed out that more than 85000 classrooms across the state are in a dilapidated and dangerous condition. Also, he criticized the practice of engaging teachers in various non-academic tasks instead of allowing them to focus on teaching.

The CJP's Three Core Demands

As part of their 48-hour ultimatum, the CJP has reiterated three primary demands to the state government. First, they demand the immediate withdrawal of the official order that prohibits individuals from visiting and inspecting government schools. Second, they call for the swift arrest of all individuals who resorted to violence and attacked CJP workers. Third, they demand that the government immediately begin repair and renovation work on schools that are currently being used as cattle sheds or stables, while ranka concluded by stating that if these demands aren't addressed within 48 hours, the CJP will launch a protest of unprecedented scale across the state.
