The land dispute surrounding Bhairana Dham, the sacred site of Dadu Dayal Ji located in the Dudu district of Rajasthan, appeared to settle down following a midnight agreement between the administration and Nagaur MP Hanuman Beniwal. However, the derogatory remarks made by the Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) supremo against the state's Chief Minister and his cabinet from the protest stage have ignited a fierce political battle across the state. During the massive gathering, Hanuman Beniwal referred to Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma as 'Mahamurkh' (great fool) and labeled cabinet ministers as 'Murkh' (fools), prompting an aggressive response from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
BJP State President Slams Beniwal's Language
Following Hanuman Beniwal's controversial statements, BJP State President Madan Rathore addressed the media at his residence in Jaipur around 11 PM on Wednesday. Rathore expressed strong objection to Beniwal's linguistic style, stating that such derogatory words are being used merely to increase political TRP. He compared the current political discourse to the language used by criminals, remarking that some politicians are behaving like 'super goons' who earn through threats and extortion. Rathore emphasized that calling Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma 'Mahamurkh' is extremely shameful and condemnable.
Madan Rathore further advised Beniwal that he needs to acquire proper values and culture, while he stated that such abusive language wouldn't bring him fame but would instead cause the public to despise politicians. Rathore urged the public to teach such leaders a lesson and appealed to the media, the fourth pillar of democracy, to completely boycott politicians who use such undignified language to ensure the purification of politics.
Personal Attacks and Political Viability
On Thursday morning, Rajasthan BJP State Chief Spokesperson Ramlal Sharma also launched a scathing attack against Hanuman Beniwal. Sharma made personal and political strikes, questioning the state of mind in which Beniwal delivers his speeches. He remarked that the people of Rajasthan are well aware of the kind of intoxication under which Hanuman Beniwal gives such speeches. Responding to Beniwal's aggressive stance, Sharma stated that Beniwal shouldn't be under the illusion that only his mother has raised him with strength, as every mother in Rajasthan has raised her child to be equally strong.
Ramlal Sharma also targeted the political standing of the RLP, noting that the party had already reached 'zero' in the assembly elections. He warned that if Beniwal's thoughts and words remain at such a low level, the party will sink further into the abyss because a party with such a mindset can never achieve development.
The Bhairana Dham RICO Dispute and Settlement
The root of this political turmoil lies in the proposed RICO industrial area project near Bhairana Dham in Mojmabad tehsil. For several days, saints of the Dadu Panth and local residents had been protesting against industrial construction and the cutting of trees. To support this movement, RLP supremo Hanuman Beniwal set out for a 'Jaipur March' with thousands of supporters under the 'Save Bhairana Dham Movement'.
Beniwal and his supporters remained at Bhairana Dham from 12 PM to 4 PM on Wednesday despite the intense heat. When the march to Jaipur was announced, the situation became tense as supporters broke through heavy barricades placed by the administration outside the Bichun police post, while the convoy reached near Mokampura, prompting Jaipur District Collector Sandesh Nayak and Jaipur Range IG Rahul Prakash to reach the spot. After several rounds of negotiations on the road near Mokampura police station late at night, an agreement was finally reached between the officials and the MP, bringing the immediate standoff to an end.
