Swift Action and Financial Relief
The scale of the disaster was immense, with reports of 111 deaths and approximately 72 injuries recorded across the state. The storm's fury caused widespread destruction, uprooting trees and toppling electricity poles, which led to fatal accidents in many districts, while in response, the Chief Minister mandated that relief operations be prioritized. As a result, a total aid amount of 5 crore rupees was disbursed to the families of the deceased. Each affected family received a compensation of 4 lakh rupees, a move aimed at providing immediate stability to those who lost their primary breadwinners or loved ones.
Administrative Mobilization Across 75 Districts
To ensure that the aid reached the rightful beneficiaries without any delay, the government mobilized its entire administrative machinery. Ministers in charge of all 75 districts, along with respective District Magistrates (DMs), were instructed to personally visit the affected areas.
