Sikar: A person infected with a coronavirus in a village in Sikar district of Rajasthan was allegedly buried without any protocol after the death. After this, 21 people died. However, officials said that between April 15 and May 5, there have been only four deaths from the corona virus. According to officials, the body of a Corona-infected person was brought to Kherawa village on April 21 and around 150 people attended his funeral. He was buried without following the corono virus protocol. He said the body was taken out of a plastic bag and several people touched it during burial.

Kulraj Meena, SDO of Laxmangarh, told PTI on Saturday that "out of 21 deaths, Kovid-19 has resulted in only 3-4 deaths. Most of the deaths are old people. We have sampled 147 family members. Investigations are being carried out to ascertain if there has been a community infection here. "

He said that the administration has launched a cleanliness drive in the village. The villagers have been explained about the seriousness of the problem and are now cooperating.

Sikar's Chief Medical and Health Officer Ajay Chaudhary said that a report has been sought from the local authorities after which he would be able to comment on the matter.

Kheerwa falls in the assembly constituency of Congress state president Govind Singh Dotasara. He first shared information on the deaths on social media after burying the dead body of the infected person, but later removed it. He tweeted, "With deep sorrow I have to say that more than 20 people have lost their lives and many have been infected."
