In a significant loss to Rajasthan's political landscape, former Cabinet Minister Hem Singh Bhadana passed away at the age of 58 on Monday morning. He breathed his last at approximately 7:30 AM at his residence in Alwar. Bhadana had been battling cancer for a prolonged period and had recently suffered a brain hemorrhage, which further complicated his health condition. Following the news of his demise, a wave of mourning spread across the Alwar district and the state's political circles.

Medical Complications and Final Moments

According to family members, Bhadana's health deteriorated sharply early Monday morning around 6:30 AM. He was immediately rushed to Harish Hospital at Telco Chauraha in Alwar. Dr. Harish Gupta, the hospital director, stated that the former minister was brought to the emergency ward at 7:00 AM. Despite immediate medical attention, doctors declared him dead after a thorough examination. He had previously undergone extensive treatment at a private hospital in Gurugram following his brain hemorrhage.

A Journey from Student Leader to Cabinet Minister

Hem Singh Bhadana's political career was rooted in grassroots leadership. An LLB graduate from the University of Rajasthan, he entered public life through student politics. He served as the President of the Student Union at the Government Art and Law College, Alwar, during 1991-92. His rise continued as he was elected the Pradhan of Kishangarh Bas Panchayat Samiti in 2005, marking his transition into mainstream regional politics.

Legislative and Ministerial Contributions

Bhadana served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for two consecutive terms from 2008 to 2018. During the 14th Assembly, he was appointed as the Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Food and Civil Supplies in 2014. Later, he held portfolios for Consumer Affairs, Printing and Stationery, State Motor Garage, and General Administration. His tenure was marked by his involvement in various legislative committees, including those for the welfare of backward classes.

State Honors and Tributes

In honor of the departed leader, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has postponed all pre-scheduled programs in Alwar and Khairthal districts for the day. Political leaders across party lines have expressed their condolences to the bereaved family. The district administration has confirmed that the final rites of Hem Singh Bhadana will be performed with full state honors at his ancestral village. A large number of supporters and local residents have gathered at his Alwar residence to pay their last respects.
