India-Pakistan News / 2 major dams are becoming dead, crops are not being sown; Pakistan is in a state of panic

After the Pahalgam terror attack, India's 'water strike' strategy has deepened the water crisis in Pakistan. Due to the decrease in water flow in the Indus basin, the Mangla-Tarbela dam is on the verge of drying up. Kharif crops are in danger. India clearly said - blood and water cannot flow together.

India-Pakistan News: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will soon leave to attend the G7 summit to be held in Kananaskis, Canada. Ahead of this much-awaited visit, a big stir is being seen in Canada at the political and security level. The new government of Canada, whose Prime Minister is Mark Carney, has launched a major campaign against Khalistani supporters involved in anti-India activities. This operation has been named Project Pelican.

Big action against Khalistanis

Under Project Pelican, Canadian police have made the biggest drug seizure so far and recovered 479 kg of cocaine, which is estimated to be worth about $ 47.9 million in the international market. A total of nine people, including seven Indian-origin citizens, have been arrested in this action. The strings of this network are said to be linked to pro-Khalistan groups and international drug mafia.

Police investigation has also revealed that this network had formed an alliance with Mexican drug cartels and American distributors using commercial trucking routes between the US and Canada. Investigative agencies fear that the money earned from drug trafficking was being used for anti-India activities such as protests, referendums and purchase of weapons. According to intelligence reports, Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI is supporting this network.

Names of arrested accused

The arrested persons include Sajith Yogendraraja (31), Manpreet Singh (44), Philip Tep (39), Arvinder Powar (29), Karamjit Singh (36), Gurtej Singh (36), Sartaj Singh (27), Shiv Omkar Singh (31) and Hao Tommy Huynh (27). They have been charged with serious sections related to terrorism and drug trafficking.

PM Modi's visit and possible agenda

This visit of Prime Minister Modi is taking place at a time when efforts are being made to bring stability again in the relations between India and Canada. He congratulated Mark Carney on his election victory through social media and thanked him for the invitation to the summit. He said that both India and Canada are vibrant democracies and will work together for common goals.

Apart from the G7 Summit, a bilateral meeting is also proposed between Prime Minister Modi and Prime Minister Carney. In this meeting, strict action against Khalistani supporters can be India's main agenda. The Modi government has been angry with Canada for promoting Khalistani activities, especially during the tenure of Justin Trudeau.

Effect of Trudeau era policies

Canada's policies during the time of former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had greatly damaged relations with India. Trudeau tried to corner India on public forums on the issue of Khalistani supporter Hardeep Singh Nijjar, while India responded to him by demanding concrete evidence. Trudeau's strict policy against India ultimately cost him both his credibility and power.
