Four members of a family returning from a pilgrimage to Khatushyamji temple were killed, and three others critically injured, in a devastating road accident in the Chomu police station area of Jaipur early Wednesday morning. The incident occurred around 3 AM near Rampura Pulia on National Highway-52 when a speeding SUV crashed into three motorcycles.
Details of the Accident
According to the police, seven individuals, all members of the same family residing in Kardhani police station area of Jaipur, had visited Khatushyamji on Tuesday and were returning home late at night. They were riding on three motorcycles. Upon reaching the Chomu area, a reckless SUV collided with their bikes. The impact was so severe that one person died on the spot, and six others sustained grievous injuries, while chomu SHO Pradeep Sharma, along with his team, immediately arrived at the scene to oversee rescue operations.
Victims Identified
The injured were rushed to Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Hospital in Jaipur via ambulance, but. Tragically, three more succumbed to their injuries en route, bringing the total fatalities to four. The deceased have been identified as Virendra Srivastava, Sunil Srivastava (son of Virendra), Shweta Srivastava (wife of Lucky), and Lucky (son of Indraprakash Srivastava). The family, originally from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, was currently residing in Jaipur. The three critically injured, Avinash (son of Vijay Bahadur), Raunak (son of Avinash), and Sangeeta (wife of Virendra Singh), are currently undergoing treatment at SMS Hospital. Police have placed three bodies in the mortuary of Kanwatia Hospital and one in the Chomu Government Hospital mortuary, while investigations are underway.
