Rajasthan / 52 students found corona infected in IIT Jodhpur

Rajasthan: 52 students who have returned for practical classes at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, have been infected with the corona virus in the last one week. An official gave this information on Saturday.

He said that after completing online classes from their homes, these students returned to the institute to attend mandatory laboratory sessions. Most of them are from Gujarat and Odisha.

IIT Spokesperson Amardeep Sharma said that all these students have been sent to different residences and have been accommodated in one of the IIT hostels. According to the spokesperson, all anti-Kovid precautions are being taken.

He informed that two hostel buildings have been reserved for other students who came in contact with these infected students and teachers and non-teaching staff.

He said that the IIT administration is taking all necessary steps to keep the infection away from the campus amidst the resurgence of corona virus infection.
