Noida / Firozabad. In Firozabad city of Uttar Pradesh, 650 women have formed a company making potato chips. This company named 'Arc Chips' is the first company in which all the ten directors and all the shareholders are women. Let us tell you that there is a good yield of potato in Firozabad. According to official figures, about 1.40 crore quintals of potato is produced in the district every year.

Firozabad had no factory for making potato chips till now, but now it has got its own local chips factory. It has been made by 650 women together. The 'Ark Chips' factory is located in Shikohabad area. It has 10 directors and 650 shareholders and all of them are women. These women belong to a self-help group and the special thing is that none of them have experience in doing business. Apart from this, only a few of these women have studied beyond the school. The company 'Ark Chips' is currently making Salty, Tango Tomato and Onion Flavored Chips.

In April last year, each woman contributed Rs 3,000 for setting up the factory. Whereas the directors took additional loan from the bank. The first packet of potato chips was prepared in November 2021 and since then this company has prepared six lakh packets.
