National / A victim of Trafficking, Jharkhand woman rescued from Nepal after 12 years

A Jharkhand lady has been rescued from Nepal 12 years after she had long gone missing in Uttar Pradesh and now she is being brought to her home state, an official statement stated on Saturday. Family individuals of Aitbariya, who had abandoned all hopes to peer her again, are now ready eagerly for her to go back from New Delhi where she had reached on Friday. 


A tweet from someone in Nepal announcing that she was staying at an ashram in Kathmandu has set the ball rolling and an official of the Jharkhand authorities has been deputed to bring her back. She will take a train from Delhi to Ranchi on Sunday.


"Aitbariya, who's now 32, had long gone to Uttar Pradesh together along with her father, to work at a brick kiln. From there, she went missing. This incident took place nearly 12 years back. A case was filed withinside the Gorakhpur police station of UP. But, Aitbariya could not be found anywhere," the Jharkhand authorities statement stated.


Aitbariya is a resident of Masmona village beneath neath the Bhandara police station of Lohardaga. As per the details, from UP she was taken to Haryana and later despatched to Nepal. The development comes near at the heels of the Jharkhand authorities rescuing a septuagenarian, identified as Fucha Mahli after he spent 35 years working as a virtual bonded labour in Andaman and Nicobar islands.


"Our authorities are devoted to rescuing every single child. We have suffered enough with this threat however now no longer anymore. If the case is associated with trafficking, I warn traffickers to live far from our country otherwise, they may be dealt with the strictest action," chief minister Hemant Soren stated.
