Sanjay Singh News: Rajya Sabha MP from Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Sanjay Singh has once again been nominated by the party for Rajya Sabha MP in Delhi. Sanjay Singh's signature is required to file nomination. An application for this permission has been filed in Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court. On an 'Undertaking' which is said to be necessary for the applicant (Sanjay Singh) in relation to obtaining 'No Dues Certificate' from Rajya Sabha.

Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court has allowed Sanjay Singh to sign the documents for re-nomination in Rajya Sabha. Singh has been approved by Special Judge MK Nagpal. The current tenure of the three Rajya Sabha MPs from Delhi including Sanjay Singh is ending on January 27. Elections for MPs will be held in Delhi on 19 January. Let us tell you that this year 68 MPs will retire from Rajya Sabha. To fill these vacant seats, political parties are making strategies to elect their respective leaders.

Nominations have to be filed by January 9

The returning officer had issued a notice for election and nomination on January 2, which would have to be submitted by January 9. In Singh's application, permission was sought from the Tihar Jail Superintendent to sign the necessary documents. In the court order, the jail superintendent was ordered to allow Sanjay Singh's lawyer to present the documents on January 6. The Superintendent was directed to ensure that the said documents were signed by Singh.

Sanjay Singh was arrested on October 4

Sanjay Singh was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on October 4. The ED has accused him of playing an important role in the formulation and implementation of the excise duty policy, which has been abolished. The ED alleges that the AAP leader favored some liquor traders, wholesalers and retailers in exchange for financial gain. However, Sanjay Singh has vehemently denied these allegations.
