In a deeply saddening development for the Dipke family, Savitribai Shankar Dipke, the grandmother of Abhijeet Dipke, the founder of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), has passed away, while she was 85 years old at the time of her demise. The news of her passing has brought a wave of mourning across the family and their associates. Savitribai Shankar Dipke breathed her last due to complications arising from old age. This personal loss comes at a time when her grandson, Abhijeet Dipke, was involved in a significant political protest in the national capital, Delhi.
Demise at Ancestral Village
The passing of Savitribai Shankar Dipke occurred at the family's ancestral village, located in Santuk Pimpri, within the Hingoli district, while her death at the age of 85 marks the end of an era for the family. As the news reached the family members, a sense of profound grief enveloped the household in Santuk Pimpri. The elderly matriarch was a respected figure in her community, and her departure due to natural causes related to her advanced age has left a void that the family is currently struggling to cope with.
Detention at IGI Airport
The timing of this personal tragedy is particularly poignant as Abhijeet Dipke was in Delhi to participate in a protest organized by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) at Jantar Mantar. On Saturday, as Abhijeet Dipke arrived at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport in Delhi via an Air India flight, he was met by a team from the Delhi Police. Before he could even exit the aircraft and proceed to the protest site, the police team entered the flight and took him into custody. This detention was carried out just as the CJP was preparing for its scheduled demonstration at Jantar Mantar.
Instagram Live and Confrontation
During the process of his detention, Abhijeet Dipke initiated a live video broadcast on the social media platform Instagram to document the events as they unfolded. The video footage captured the moments when the Delhi Police team entered the Air India flight to apprehend him. In the live stream, other members of the Cockroach Janta Party, including Sourav Das and Ashutosh Ranka, were seen engaging in a heated argument with the police officers, while they questioned the police's decision to enter the aircraft instead of waiting for the members to disembark. Abhijeet Dipke was heard stating to the police that they weren't afraid of being arrested. Following the confrontation, the police moved Dipke and his associates from the airport to an undisclosed location. It was during these turbulent moments in Delhi that the news of his grandmother Savitribai Shankar Dipke's death in Hingoli was confirmed, adding a layer of personal grief to the political tension.
