Amidst the deteriorating situation on the Ukraine border, India has issued a new advisory for its citizens living in Ukraine. In this advisory, all Indian citizens living there have been advised to leave Ukraine temporarily.

Government issued new advisory

The Government of India said in the advisory, military tension and uncertainty in Ukraine remains constant. In view of this, such Indian citizens living in Ukraine, who are not very important to live there. They have been advised to return to India. Along with this, all the students who went to study there have also been advised to leave Ukraine temporarily.

The government told all Indian citizens living in Ukraine that they can use all available commercial and charter flights to return to India. The sooner they leave Ukraine, the better.

Appeal to stay in touch with Indian Embassy

The government also advised Indian students to keep in touch with the concerned contractor to know the updated status of charter flights. Also, keep following the website of the Indian Embassy in Ukraine, Facebook and Twitter accounts. So that they can get the latest information about the situation.

Indian Embassy in Ukraine has issued helpline numbers +380 997300428, +380 99730483 to help the people trapped there. Along with this, the email id cons1.kyiv@mea.gov.in has also been issued. Through these numbers and emails, all other information including the situation in Ukraine and the status of flights can be gathered. The embassy said that this helpline will continue for 24 hours.

Earlier, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs has also prepared a control room to help the Indians trapped in Ukraine and has issued its number. The Ministry of External Affairs said that if any person trapped in Ukraine needs some help or information regarding his family members, then he can call the helpline numbers 011-23012113, 011-23014104 and 011-23017905. Along with this, information can also be taken from the Ministry of External Affairs by calling toll free number 1800118797 or email id situationroom@mea.gov.in. Apart from this, a fax number 011-23088124 has also been issued.

18 thousand students are trapped in Ukraine

Let us tell you that about 18 thousand Indian students are trapped in Ukraine. Most of them are students who have gone there to teach medicine. Seeing the clouds of war hovering over Ukraine, these people have appealed to the Indian government for help. At the same time, in order to evacuate its citizens from Ukraine, the Ministry of Civil Aviation has lifted the ban on flights between India and Ukraine.
