Lok Sabha Election: A farmer died while protesting against Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Preneet Kaur in Patiala, Punjab. After this, BJP candidate Preneet Kaur canceled her election campaign program till Sunday. It is being told that the farmers' protest was going on in Sihra village. Meanwhile, 60 year old farmer Surinder Pal Singh had fallen on the ground. However, the protesting farmers have alleged that Surinder Pal Singh fell on the ground due to a push by the security personnel.

Died in hospital

The team of BJP candidate Preneet Kaur has also released a video. In this video, the farmer can be seen falling on the ground during the demonstration. The farmers had demonstrated against Preneet Kaur with black flags and they had stopped Kaur's vehicle. During this time the policemen were requesting him not to stop the vehicle. Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Samiti leader Sarwan Singh Pandher said that after the incident, Surinder Pal Singh was taken to Rajpura Civil Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. Let us tell you that during the Lok Sabha election campaign, BJP candidates and leaders are facing opposition from farmers.

BJP candidate expressed grief

However, BJP candidate Preneet Kaur has expressed grief over the death of the farmer. In his condolence message, he said, "I am deeply saddened by the demise of farmer Surinder Pal Singh." He assured that he and his family will stand by him till his last breath. Farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal has demanded compensation and government job to the family members of the deceased farmer. Along with this, he also demanded registration of FIR in this matter. The farmer leader said that the last rites will not be performed until a case is registered in this matter.
