INDIA Alliance Meeting: After the results of the Lok Sabha elections were declared, the I.N.D.I.A. alliance held a meeting at the house of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge to decide the future strategy. The leaders discussed for about one and a half hours. Many leaders including Sonia, Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi, NCP (SCP)'s Sharad Pawar and his daughter Supriya Sule, Shiv Sena (Uddhav faction)'s Sanjay Raut, SP President Akhilesh Yadav, TMC leader Abhishek Banerjee, RJD's Tejashwi Yadav, DMK leader MK Stalin, Jharkhand CM Champai Soren and Hemant Soren's wife Kalpana, AAP leader Raghav Chadha and CPI (M)'s Sitaram Yechury were present in the meeting.

Kharge said that we fought very well and together. India Alliance welcomes all those parties who respect the economic, social, political justice written in the Constitution. The mandate has been received against Modi and his style of politics. Personally, this is a big political loss for him. This is his moral defeat.

In fact, the alliance has got a total of 234 seats in the results. To form the government, the alliance needs the support of 272 MPs. In such a situation, to get the majority, it will have to find partners outside the current seat sharing.
