Shimla. The Jairam Thakur government of Himachal Pradesh has decided to close all educational institutions by 21 April, taking a big decision regarding Corona. CM Jairam Thakur decided at the cabinet meeting (Jairam Thakur Cabinet Meeting). Earlier educational institutions were closed till April 15, at present no new restrictions have been imposed. Night curfew has also been discussed. However, no decision has been made on imposing night curfew. The cabinet meeting is chaired by CM Jairam Thakur.

The state cabinet meeting held here today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur reviewed the Kovid-19 situation in the state. Expressing concern over the sharp increase in Kovid-19 cases in the state, the cabinet decided to close all educational institutions including teaching and non-teaching staff required for examination duties by 21st of this month.

The project for the development of a multi-storey parking-cum-shopping complex at U-Block Mandi can be awarded under PPP mode to the highest bidder at an annual concessional fee of Rs. It gave its approval to upgrade the Community Health Center Khundiyan in Jwalamukhi assembly constituency of Kangra district to a 50-bed civil hospital to provide better health services to the people of the area. The cabinet gave its approval to make Primary Health Center Tiara a community health center in Kangra assembly constituency in Kangra district and to create this institution to fill 13 new posts of various categories.

It was also decided to fill 311 posts of Forest Guard in the Forest Department on contract basis through direct recruitment. During the meeting held on March 9 of this year, 113 posts of Forest Guard have already been approved by the State Cabinet.

The cabinet decided to fill 25 posts of Agricultural Development Officers on contractual basis in the Department of Agriculture through HP Public Service Commission against the direct recruitment quota.

It decided to implement the Central Sector Plan SVAMITVA in the state for survey of land parcels in rural inhabited areas using drone technology. For this, Revenue Department will be designated as Nodal Department for implementation of the scheme in collaboration with Panchayati Raj Department.

The cabinet gave its permission to provide employment on the basis of eligible compassion to the deceased employees against the available vacant posts of class-III and class-IV with relaxation of 5 percent quota against available vacancies of class-III and class-III. . In the DC offices of Shimla, Kinnaur, Solan and Kangra and the office of Settlement Officer Kangra Division.

The cabinet gave its approval for the creation of five posts of different categories for each newly formed Nagar Panchayats namely Shahpur, Chirgaon, Nerwa, Nirmand, Annni, Kandaghat and Amb for the smooth functioning of these newly created Nagar Panchayats.

The cabinet approved 50 bedded community health centers for upgradation of primary health center Samot in Bhatiyat assembly constituency of Chamba district.

Presentations were also made to the Cabinet by the Water Power Department on the current drought situation in the state. It was decided to hold a review meeting under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister, including all stakeholder departments, for further decisions.
