Krishna Janmashtami: Today, the birth anniversary of God is being celebrated with great pomp across the country. In Sanatan tradition, Janmashtami, which falls on the Ashtami date of Bhadrapada month, is considered a great festival. It is believed that its worship relieves one from all troubles and fulfills all the wishes of a person. It is also believed that if any devotee of Krishna worships him as per the rituals on this day, then he gets the blessings of Lord Krishna throughout the year, but do you know why Lord Vishnu appeared on earth in the form of Lord Krishna? Took blessings? Let us know the reason behind Kanha incarnating on earth.

Establishment of religion

According to Hindu belief, whenever there is a loss of religion on earth and the oppression of unrighteousness increases, God incarnates on earth to end it. Lord Shri Krishna has explained this reason for his incarnation through the verses of Geeta.

The story is related to Jai-Vijay

According to Hindu belief, due to a curse, the gatekeepers of Lord Vishnu were repeatedly incarnating on the earth by becoming unrighteous and to kill them, Lord Vishnu had to incarnate on the earth again and again. Sometimes he had to come to kill Hiranyakashyap and sometimes to kill Kansa and Shishupala.

Narada Muni's curse

According to the legend, once Narad Muni had a desire to get married and he went to Shri Hari and asked for his form. It is believed that Lord Vishnu had created this leela to break the ego of Narada Muni, hence he gave him a monkey-like face. After this, when he reached the Swayamvar site to get married, he was insulted a lot. After this, angry Narada Muni cursed Lord Vishnu that just as I am suffering from not being able to get married, you too will have to suffer the pain of separation from Goddess Lakshmi after taking birth on earth. It is believed that due to this curse, Lord Shri Vishnu had to suffer separation from Mother Sita in the form of Lord Ram and Radha Rani in the form of Lord Shri Krishna.
