Mumbai: Congratulations are in order for actor Ranveer Singh, folks and for a couple of reasons. First, it was the man's birthday yesterday -- he turned 36. Second, Singh also added yet another luxury SUV to his collection to celebrate the day it seems. Yep, the actor has bought the Mercedes Maybach GLS 600, which was launched in India last month at ₹2.43 crore (ex-showroom, India). Just FYI, this is one of the most expensive SUVs in India. Singh took delivery of his Lamborghini Urus Pearl Capsule design edition earlier this year in May. The Pearl Capsule edition too was launched in March this year and costs nearly 20 per cent more than the standard model, which alone costs ₹3.15 crore (ex-showroom). Phew! We are so thrilled for Singh and can't wait to see more Ranveer Singh pics with these babies.Now, a quick overview of the Mercedes Maybach GLS 600; it comes equipped with the same overall interior layout as the regular Mercedes GLS, albeit several times more premium. The Maybach GLS 600 SUV gets wooden inserts, Nappa leather, a 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch infotainment system with MBUX interface with handwriting recognition and gesture control, electrically-opening panoramic sliding/tilting sunroof with an opaque roller blind, climate-controlled seats with massage function, and so much more. The Mercedes Maybach GLS 600 luxury SUV comes powered by a 4.0-litre V8 turbocharged petrol engine that belts out a maximum power output of 550 bhp and 730 Nm of peak torque. The German luxury carmaker has also equipped the Maybach SUV with a 48-Volt hybrid system that delivers an additional 21 bhp and torque of up to 250 Nm. Finally, the transmission -- the Maybach SUV in India is offered with a nine-speed automatic gearbox as standard.
