MP Election 2023: Congress is paying special focus on Malwa region of Madhya Pradesh. After Rahul Gandhi's visit, now Priyanka Gandhi is reaching Malwa region on Thursday. While Rahul Gandhi addressed the rally at Kalapipal in Shajapur on Saturday, Priyanka Gandhi will give edge to the Congress's election campaign from Mohankheda in Dhar district and will be seen trying to attract tribal votes. Priyanka will make an election noise by visiting the pilgrimage site of Jain community, Mohankheda, tomorrow. His grandmother Indira Gandhi and mother Sonia Gandhi have been launching election campaigns from this place. It remains to be seen whether Mohankheda becomes politically favorable for Congress in this election battle or not?

Congress politics in Madhya Pradesh is centered around two big leaders. One is Kamal Nath and the other is Digvijay Singh. Both the leaders have been in politics for more than four decades. Apart from these two veteran leaders, two young leaders of Madhya Pradesh Congress are also emerging. One youth leader of Congress is organizing a meeting of Rahul Gandhi while another youth leader is organizing a meeting of Priyanka Gandhi. Priyanka will be seen addressing a rally in tribal dominated Mohankheda and trying to win the assembly seats of six districts of Malwa.

Jitu Patwari's name comes among the young leaders of Congress. He is considered a dynamic leader and comes from Indore in Malwa. Jeet Patwari is counted among the leaders close to Rahul Gandhi. This was the reason why Rahul Gandhi visited Kalapipal Assembly within three days. This was Rahul Gandhi's first meeting in the MP elections. Rahul Gandhi's meeting was held on Saturday, 30 September. Jeet Patwari had shown his strength by organizing the election rally of Rahul Gandhi. Rahul used to pass through these areas during his Bharat Jodo Yatra. While passing through Khandwa, Khargone, Indore, Ujjain and Agar districts of Malwa, an effort was made to woo the people of tribal community.

Singhar is considered close to Priyanka

Congress tribal leader Umang Singhar is also now showing his strength in the party. Priyanka Gandhi's meeting is going to be held in Dhar district. The responsibility of this meeting rests on the shoulders of Congress leader Umang Singhar. Through this meeting, Umang also wants to tell the Congress leaders of the state that they have direct access to the central leadership. This is the same Umang Singhar who had opened a front against Digvijay Singh while he was a minister in the Kamal Nath government. However, neither his resignation nor any action was taken. Now Singhar has made a strategy to give a direct political message by organizing a rally of Priyanka Gandhi so that the tribal votes can be wooed.

Tribal voters play decisive role in MP

Tribal voters play a very decisive role in Madhya Pradesh and without them it is difficult to capture power. Out of total 230 seats in the state, 47 seats are reserved for the tribal class, but their influence is on more than 80 seats. In the 2018 elections, BJP had to lose power due to the alienation of tribal voters. In the last elections, 30 out of 47 seats were won by Congress and 16 seats went to the account of BJP while one seat went to the account of an independent. Tribal communities are considered most important in Malwa-Nimar in MP. Out of 47 seats reserved for the tribal community, Malwa-Nimar has 22 seats.

Malwa-Nimar is very important for BJP

Malwa-Nimar was once considered a BJP stronghold, but the party could not repeat this victory in the 2018 elections. Out of 37 seats in eight districts of Indore division, BJP got only 11 seats. Out of 29 seats in Ujjain division, BJP had to win only 17 seats, due to which BJP is putting a lot of emphasis in this area while Congress is keeping its full strength. How important Malwa-Nimar is for BJP can be gauged from the fact that the party has fielded General Secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya from a seat here, while the Congress has fielded its veteran leaders to conquer this area. Have taken it off. What political benefit Congress gets from Priyanka Gandhi's entry after Rahul Gandhi will be known only after the election results?
