The body of a 40-year-old mother and her 22-year-old daughter were found hanging from a tree outside their house in Nagarsen village under Tarabganj police station on Wednesday. According to reports, the girl was married in December, but even after marriage, she kept harassing a boy named Satyam, who was once a friend of the girl.

On the night of 22 March, Satyam sent an objectionable video of her with the girl to her husband before going public. Gonda SP Shailesh Pandey said, "Satyam used to harass the girl by saying that he would tell her husband about the earlier relationship between the two. He also misbehaved with the girl and forced her to make objectionable videos. After this, he started blackmailing the girl on the basis of the video. He used to ask her to stay with him. When the girl refused, he sent the video to her husband. "

He added, "The girl's relationship with her husband deteriorated and both mother and daughter became very upset. Both of them did not leave the house for two days and were found hanging from the noose on Wednesday." Pandey said, Satyam has been arrested for abetment to suicide and under the SC / ST Act.
