Corona Pandemic / After two years, regular international flights will start from today, booster dose to those going abroad soon

Regular international flights, which have been closed for two years in view of the Corona epidemic, will start from Sunday. The country's international airports and airlines have completed preparations in this regard.

International flights were banned on 23 March 2020. However special flights were operated under air bubble agreements and Vande Bharat Mission with various countries. The Ministry of Civil Aviation had announced on March 8 that international flights would start from March 27 after decreasing cases of corona. With this decision, the operation of foreign flights from Delhi's largest Indira Gandhi International Airport is expected to jump in the first week of April.

Booster dose to those going abroad soon

The central government may soon take a decision to give a precautionary dose of corona vaccine to those going abroad for studies, job, business and office work. According to sources, consideration is on to allow those going abroad to get booster doses paid from private immunization centers.

At present, precautionary doses are being given to health workers, frontline warriors and those above 60 years of age. In many countries, a booster dose is mandatory for those coming from abroad. This approval can also be given to players, government officials going to meetings. No official instructions have been issued in this regard by the Union Health Ministry so far. Dose prioritization and sequencing will be based on completion of nine months from the date of second dose administration as per extant guidelines.

Vaccination campaign started on 16 January 2021

The nationwide vaccination campaign was launched on January 16, 2021, in which healthcare workers were vaccinated in the first phase. The vaccination of frontline workers started from February 2 last year. The next phase of the Kovid-19 vaccination began on March 1 last year with vaccines for people above 60 years of age and people aged 45 years and above with any disease. India started vaccination for all people above 45 years of age from April 1 last year. Following this, the government decided to expand its immunization campaign by allowing everyone over the age of 18 to be vaccinated against the viral disease from May 1 last year. The next phase of vaccination has started from January 3 this year for adolescents in the age group of 15-18 years.
