Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday appealed to the youth not to be misled by the campaign of opposition parties against the Agneepath scheme. The CM insisted that retired Agniveers would be given priority in the UP Police. He said that this scheme has been supported all over the world. This scheme will not only provide employment to 10 lakh youth but the training provided there will enable them to deal with the challenges more effectively with discipline and training. The CM also said that Agniveer jawans will be helped to get jobs in the police force easily.

Yogi Adityanath said this while addressing two rallies in Azamgarh to seek votes for BJP candidate Dinesh Lal Yadav 'Nirhua' in the by-election for Azamgarh seat. CM Yogi said- The governments of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Assam and Uttarakhand have already announced that Agniveer soldiers will be given priority in the job. He said that the government intends to induct Agniveers who retire after four years of service in the police force.

As per the plan, 25% of the Agniveers will remain in the Army, while the rest will get suitable employment opportunities in the police force. He said- Our government has already announced that priority will be given to Agniveers. During this, CM Yogi called Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samajwadi Party 'Rahu and Ketu' in the development of UP. He said that even after getting the opportunity to run the state four times and three times respectively, these parties have only wreaked havoc.

CM Yogi said- His entire politics revolved around family and selfish goals. The development of the state, employment of youth, welfare of farmers as well as security of women and citizens were never on his agenda. Yogi said that despite giving two chief ministers, Azamgarh is deprived of development and is known throughout the country for wrong reasons.
