Jammu-Kashmir News: After the recent terrorist incidents in Jammu and Kashmir, Army Chief Manoj Pandey reached Jammu on Monday to review the current security situation. A defense spokesperson said the Army chief reached Jammu and then proceeded to Rajouri-Poonch sector to review the prevailing security situation. Lieutenant General Upendra Dwivedi, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Northern Command, Lieutenant General Sandeep Jain, General Officer Commanding of the Jammu-based White Knight Corps and senior civil administration and police officers are camping in Rajouri and Poonch for surveillance.

4 Soldiers were martyred in terrorist encounter

Earlier, a massive operation is being conducted to nab the terrorists who recently killed four soldiers in an ambush on army vehicles in the border district of Poonch. Following the attack, three civilians aged between 27 and 42 were reportedly picked up by the military for questioning. These people were found dead on 22 December.

Mobile internet is down for 3 days

Let us inform that on Thursday, terrorists had ambushed and attacked army vehicles at Dhatyar turn between Dhera Ki Gali and Bufliaz in Surankote area of Poonch. In which four soldiers were martyred. Officials said a massive search operation is underway near the spot, which includes Surankote and Thanamandi forests in nearby Rajouri district. Mobile internet remains closed in Poonch and Rajouri for the third consecutive day.

The relatives of the deceased will get government jobs

The Jammu and Kashmir administration on Saturday announced compensation and jobs to the families of the deceased civilians and said medico-legal formalities have been completed and legal action has been initiated in the case by the appropriate authority. The army has ordered a thorough internal investigation into the deaths of the three civilians and said it is committed to providing full support and cooperation to the investigation.
